Facts about radon; 

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that’s a byproduct of uranium decay. It’s odorless, colorless and tasteless.

Iowa has the highest average radon levels of any state. At least 50% of homes are above US EPA’s recommended action level of 4.0 PCI. 

Long term exposure to radon is a proven cause of lung cancer 

Why test for radon ? 

 1. For your own health to reduce the risk of exposure to cancer causing gas
 2. If you go to sell your home in the future it’s one less unexpected cost if you already mitigate it in advance.

*if you test for radon and it comes back above 4.0 pCi then you will have to disclose that to future buyers.
